Sinterklaas Concert 2023
Ada Pérez and Tim Veldman perform “El fuego español,” a concert dedicated to 18th century chamber music.
November 29th marks the 28th edition of the Sinterklaas concert, an annual event organized by the Embassy of Spain in The Hague to celebrate the arrival of St. Nicholas in the country. Ada Perez, a specialist in transverse flute and baroque traverso, and Tim Veldman, harpsichordist, recorder player and composer, will perform Spanish Fire: 18th century chamber music.
After playing together in different ensembles, this musical duo decided in 2012 to combine their interests to explore new horizons in Baroque music. They have performed in various concert halls in the Netherlands, Belgium, England, Germany, France and Spain.
On this occasion, the concert will be held at the Korzo Theater, and will feature a repertoire of pieces by composers Antonio Rodil (1730-1787), Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757), Luis Misón (1727-1766), Antonio Soler (1729-1783) and Pedro Anselmo Marchal (ca.1758-1821).
