horseshoe to heart / togethers in motion

The Voice as Landscape platform presents the spring gathering “horseshoe to heart / togethers in motion”, a two-day event with twelve artists exploring voice and body as means of collective encounter and transformation through performance and sound practices.

The event proposes a reflection on the voice and the body as a means for encounter, exchange and collective transformation, through scenic, sound and performative practices that explore the notions of identity, affection and relationship.

The program is divided into two distinct spaces: Friday, May 23 at the Perdu Theater, and Saturday, May 24 in the indoor and outdoor spaces of If I Can’t Dance.

Day 1

  • Friday, May 23, from 20:00 to 22:00.
  • At Perdu, Kloveniersburgwal 86, 1012 CZ Amsterdam.
  • Featuring Enrico Dau Yang Wey, Geo Wyex, Derica Shields and Raoni/Muzho Saleh.

The first day takes place at the Perdu Theater and brings together artists whose collaborations have been forged through shared affinities around the use of voice, sound and stage presence. Each proposal is the fruit of a previous correspondence that materializes on stage.

Day 2

  • Saturday May 24, from 20:00-23:00.
  • At If I Can’t Dance, Wg-Plein 881, 1054 SM Amsterdam.
  • Participants: Kaixin Chen & Sankrit Kulmanochawong, Aitana Cordero, María Jerez & Élan D’Orphium, Kike García & Jesús Bravo, and Phantom Wizard.

The second day moves to the natural environment of If I Can’t Dance, where the proposals expand towards forms of coexistence and collective creation. The program includes participatory actions, spaces for shared rest and explorations ranging from interspecies communication to care, love and memory.
