DUO

The King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain inaugurate, together with William and Máxima of the Netherlands, the exhibition of murals with the participation of renowned street artists such as Suso33, Belin and Okuda.

The DUO exhibition showcases the work of ten urban artists—five from Spain and five from the Netherlands—who visually explore the rich cultural history shared by both countries. Each pair of artists focused on five common cultural themes, producing individual canvas works that reflect their unique techniques, inspirations, and visions. These artworks were created at the Straat Museum during the week leading up to the exhibition’s opening.

Participating artists include Belin, Musa 71, SUSO33, Okuda San Miguel, and Irene Lopez from Spain, along with TelmoMiel, Leon Keer, Mick La Rock, Mr. June, and Nina Valkhoff from the Netherlands. The exhibition was conceived by SUSO33 in collaboration with Santiago Herrero, the director of Cultural and Scientific Relations at the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation. It was jointly curated by SUSO33 and David Roos, the chief curator of the Straat Museum.

Visitors can explore the exhibition in the main hall of the Straat Museum, an 8,000 m² space located in the former NDSM dock warehouse in Amsterdam. The museum features over 180 works of urban art by more than 170 international artists, many of which were created on-site.
